Model AC - Horizontal, Re-circulatory Air Curtain
Designed for very high-traffic, non-freezer doorways subjected to normal air-exchange.

The Model AC provides completely unrestricted passageways for large cold rooms while reducing doorway refrigeration loss. Although designed for cooler doorways, the Model AC can also be used effectively (without a heater) between two freezers where an open doorway and good visibility is desired.

The Model AC curvilinear flow-path produces counter-flow forces equal and opposite to the natural two-way air exchange that varies from top to bottom at such doorways because of the air temperature difference. Being re-circulatory, it is inherently stable and effective against heat loss or gain, and requires no all-pervasive discharge air blast (i.e. down blast). Estimated effectiveness ranges from approximately 60% at 15°F temperature difference to approximately 80% at 75°F temperature difference. The exterior finish is powder coated in a standard white or gray.
